Code Of Conduct

1. Each member is conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner at all group events, group venues, and group online outlets.

2. Members who wish to have/hold/participate in private "non-group" events, these should be planned/discussed/etc in a private venue, I.e. phone, email, snail mail, etc, and never in public group venues.

3. From time to time, tensions arise between members, when this occurs those involved should keep these issues out of the group communications. Should the matter be important to the group, then after reasonable attempts to resolve them with the direct party, present them other members in private communications.

4. This group is not designed, intended, engaged, or condone any illegal activity, no subversive activity, no conspiracies, or anything out of the normal scope of lawful activity. We fully reserve our rights provided by the order of law, and our founding fathers.

5. Without clearly expressed permission, double checked, we will not discuss other members, their activities, preps, thoughts, homesteads, health, etc outside of normal group discussion. We share a certain level of confidence with the group, and therefore will not talk about such things in any venue outside of the group.

6. The group is a loose group of like minded person's. It is expected that from within this social/idea share group, tighter more close knit group's may/will form. These groups are not bound, tied, or obligated in anyway. These spin off’s are expected, encouraged, and given support by design.

7. The group site, boards, and name (attheready.org) are monitored and moderated. Members understand that offensive, inflammatory, insulting, or illegal post can and will be moderated at the discretion of moderator (s). If there is instance where moderation occurs you will receive an email stating what was moderated and the reason.

8. These guidelines are basic common sense, and presented clearly. They may be amended or added to, but the core direction/vision is not subject to change.
We are glad you have found you way here,

We hope that you have made, or are ready to start making yourself ready in the event of an emergency, man made or natural. There are countless sources of wisdom from the early dawn of history, right up to current day officials telling us all that we are to be prepared. Our own government has published and displayed the importance of being able to provide for your own needs in an emergency. During these times of plenty, it is not hard to put some aside for the day when .... happens. You will not recall the coffee you drank this morning, the sandwich you had for lunch, or the movie ticket you bought. So we hope that in your life you make some resources and time for use in future security. This group is a social group created to build skills, knowledge, and friendships that can help all involved on their path.

LDS Canneries opening again partially to non-members.
admin, Saturday 05 November 2011 - 04:34:52 //

The LDS canneries are opening again to non-members on a limited access. As best as I can determine they have order caps *around $250*, and space is very limited, but that is a great improvement over $0 order cap!

LDS Closed to non-members unless w/member *Limited purchases then*

Internal LDS Message to HSC Managers

Non-member use of HSC Policy Update

Dear HSC Managers:

Please note that I’ve received a directive from SLC-HQ to limited non-member use of the HSC in the following way:

· Non-members may use our facility when they are accompanied with a church-member.

· Non-members may purchase from the HSC for personal canning purposes only. No large bulk orders.

· Can and pouch sealers should not be loaned out to non-members.

The primary objective of the HSC is to provide a resource for our church members to obtain food storage. We want to continue providing our non-member friends a positive experience at our HSC under these new guidelines.

Please acknowledge the receipt of this email. Also, please call or respond with any questions you may have.

Best Regards,

It seems prudent to share this PDF (Print it) informational file. It describes in great detail how to maximize your chances of survival should nuclear fall out/radiation become a problem.

Are you Ready?
admin, Thursday 25 March 2010 - 12:52:24 //

Ready for what? YES! Are you ready? Insert whatever you like, my favorite is eternity, but lets focus on hard subjects like food, water, defense, and your family!

There are many things to consider when you are making ready for a crisis. How many people, how long, where, and so forth is just the start.

Consider your needs, and think that in a crisis you may not be able to run out and get anything. So try to think of all you will need and want. Many parts of the country got record amounts of snow this winter, brining cities to a halt. Some lost power for many days. You can make things smoother for you and your loved ones, with a small amount of effort now.
